Cutting geometry designed for abrasive and difficult-to-machine materials, for groove, rebate, jointing and sizing of MDF, HDF, HPL, CPL, Trespa. Corian, Duroplastics, Thermoplastics and fiber-reinforced composites. The PCD tips are positioned on opposite shear angles to provide an excellent finish on materials that are laminated top and bottom. The design works in the same way as a compression bit, in that the cutting edges are both pulling toward the center of material for excellent finish both sides. Suitable for both axial and ramp plunging operations.
