GDP Tooling offers a cost-effective solution for millwork prototypes and small runs. Especially beneficial for the custom shop with continuous special profile needs for short runs, this tool will save a lot of time and money. Profiled knives can be quickly ground and used in this tool body, without waiting for a custom tool at a higher cost. This CNC corrugated head adapter (Series 4524) comes in 40, 60 and 80mm width and is supplied on an HSK-F63 heat shrink tool holder (sold separately) for use with 5/16″ (8mm) corrugated knives. Total weight, including knives and tool holder as shown is less than 7 pounds so well within usual spindle weight limitations. The carrier body is high quality tool steel, a prerequisite for safety since the corrugations in an aluminum head would eventually wear out and knives could become dislodged. It is imperative when using the CNC corrugated knife adapter that the knife seats are kept clean and free of dust and debris, and both knife and knife seat are free of any saw dust or residue when replacing profile stock.
