The 6815 Series PCD Diamond Router Bit from GDP Tooling is engineered for high-performance CNC routing of abrasive, dense, and difficult-to-machine materials. Designed with alternating shear polycrystalline diamond (PCD) cutting edges and a solid carbide body, this tool delivers exceptional durability, superior edge quality, and quiet, stable cutting performance across a wide range of industrial materials.

While optimized for cement fiber board applications—including Swisspearl® and other fiber-reinforced cement panels—the 6815 Series is equally effective on MDF, HDF, HPL, CPL, Trespa®, Corian®, thermoplastics, phenolics, duroplastics, and carbon or glass fiber-reinforced composites.

Alternating Shear PCD Geometry for Clean Top and Bottom Edges

The 6815 Series features two long PCD cutting edges positioned on opposite shear angles—one upcut flute and one downcut flute. This alternating shear geometry is specifically designed to reduce top and bottom edge chipping, improve surface finish on laminated and pre-finished materials and minimize delamination in fiber-reinforced composites. All while optimizing Chip evacuation and reducing a buildup of heat in the substrate.This design is especially beneficial when machining coated or laminated panels where both surface integrity and dimensional accuracy are critical.
