The V-groove insert router bit Series 4320 is engineered for precision V-grooving and folding applications on CNC routers. A specialized carbide insert geometry at the tip produces a clean, crisp inside folding line, helping create accurate folds and consistent finished corners.
Available in 45°, 60°, 90° and 91° configurations, the Series 4320 can be matched to different materials and folding requirements. Applications include solid wood, wood-based panels, solid-surface materials and selected hard plastics.
The replaceable carbide insert design provides an economical alternative to conventional solid tooling. When the cutting edge becomes worn, the insert can be replaced without replacing or resharpening the complete tool body, maintaining the original cutting geometry and angle.
For maximum accuracy, finish quality and tool life, we strongly recommend using this tool with a high-precision heat shrink tool holder.
PCD diamond-tipped versions are also available for applications requiring extended tool life.

Series 4320 is available in 45°, 60°, 90° and 91° configurations. A larger 91° x 35 mm configuration is also available for selected wood-based panel applications. In addition, custom V-Groove Tools can be manufactured to specific angle needs.
Different materials and folding applications may require slightly different groove geometry to achieve the desired finished corner. Series 4320 includes configurations specifically intended for solid-surface materials which do not expand (true 90 degree bit) and wood-based panels which may expand with glue, adding one degree extra to accommodate that.
The carbide insert has a specialized grind at the tip designed to produce a clean, crisp inside folding line at the bottom of the V-groove. This helps improve fold accuracy and finished-corner quality.
Depending on the selected configuration, the tool can be used for solid wood, MDF, particleboard and other wood-based panels, solid-surface materials and selected hard plastics.
V-grooving and folding require accurate tool concentricity. A high-precision heat shrink holder minimizes runout and provides rigid toolholding, helping improve groove accuracy, finish quality and tool life.
