GUHDO USA Inc. (dba GDP Tooling) is proudly celebrating nearly 40 years of serving North American industries with a state‑of‑the‑art program of industrial cutting tools and accessories.
Established 1986: GDP Tooling’s Legacy of Quality, Value, and Exceptional Service
In 1986 the company was founded in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a partnership between the principals of GUHDO Werk GmbH of Wermelskirchen, Germany and Karin Deutschler, who is GDP Tooling’s CEO today. In the ensuing decades, the company built a stellar reputation for high quality, reasonably priced tooling solutions. This, coupled with an exemplary customer service track record, is the company’s hallmark.
In 1997 the company headquarters was moved from Michigan to the metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. This relocation coincided with the acquisition of a new building and the establishment of a service/repair and production facility.
In 2005, GUHDO Germany’s principal sold its stake in the US company to Deutschler. The same year, GUHDO, Germany was acquired by DIMAR Cutting Tools, (Israel) following the German company’s
reorganization. GDP Tooling retains the North American exclusive licensing rights of the GUHDO brand and continues to import high-quality precision industrial saw blades manufactured at the GUHDO factory in Wermelskirchen, Germany.
In 2015 the company expanded its product offering and re-branded to GDP Tooling. In cooperation with strategic European manufacturing partners including GUHDO GmbH, the company primarily serves the wood, composite and plastics industries. GDP Tooling also supplies specialty cutting tools for PTFE skiving, paper mills and printed circuit board industries. The company’s extensive precision cutting tool program includes tooling for planers, moulders, panel saws, tenoners, boring machines, routers, CNC machining centers, edge banders and many more.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, high-performance tooling at the lowest total cost per linear foot. We partner with manufacturers from tool selection to application engineering, providing data-driven feeds and speeds, custom geometries, and regrind programs that extend tool life and improve finish. Built on German-designed precision and European partnerships, we back every tool with responsive support, fast fulfillment, and reliable service and repair. We measure success by shop-floor results: safer operation, fewer changeovers, less waste, and predictable performance.
OUR TEAM
The GDP team is comprised of experienced, knowledgable, dedicated, ingenious and highly responsive individuals who are experts in cutting tool applications.
They strive to give each customer individual attention to find solutions to tooling challenges. The team’s philosophy is quite simple: Earn the customer’s business and loyalty by showing them how to realize cost savings. That, and improving tool performance and finish in manufacturing processes is the team’s objective.

We guarantee that every product you purchase from us is free from defects in design, materials, and workmanship when used under normal industrial conditions, and that it conforms to our published specifications, drawings, or an approved customer print.
OUR PRICE MATCH PROMISE
While we believe we already offer most competitive pricing, we pledge our Price Match Promise for all items of equal quality and identical specifications.
That means, we will match the online price of any website or vendor. Exceptions to this policy are tools that are Made in China/or Taiwan. We cannot match the price on products made in these countries, which, while likely perfectly functional, do not offer the same quality, durability or accuracy that our German Designed Precision tools guarantee.
