Solid Carbide Ballnose bit suitable for carving, fluting and shallow concave radius cuts. Ballnose bits are also used when planing uneven surfaces to prevent transition lines from multiple tool passes. If larger volume of fluting with R 1/2″, 5/16″ or 3/8″ are being machined, a possibly more cost-effective option is an insert style core box bit which uses an insert that can be rotated for a second tool cycle before being discarded.
