Out with the old, in with the new! 21st Century Tooling Technology retires carbide-tipped cutters from production settings and replaces them with Insert Tools!
Carbide-tipped cutters versus insert tooling are like night and day! We’ve come a long way in the arena of cutting tool design…but it is always surprising to see unbalanced, outdated and poorly designed cutting tools in operation on production equipment. Using a carbide-tipped cutter in a production setting is neither cost-effective, dependable, nor does it provide the quality and repeatability that customers demand. Here are two examples which recently enabled us to introduce and upgrade customers into 21st century cutting tool standards from their carbide-tipped cutters to insert tooling! The new insert tools will guarantee a quiet-running, balanced tool that provides a longer run time, quick tool changes, 100% pattern repeatability/constant diameter and lower tooling cost almost immediately!
With CNC machining, it is that much more important that a tool is precision balanced and aerodynamically designed when it is spinning at 10,000 – 18,000 rpm. Any imbalance or poorly engineered tool will result in excessive noise and can even do damage to the spindle bearings! No setup adjustments are ever needed with insert tools as, at the end of each cycle when knives are replaced, the new inserts are locked into identical position as the dull ones removed! Needing a custom tool for your CNC, let us come to your assistance. We have decade of custom tooling expertise and what we deliver comes with a satisfaction guaranteed promise that you won’t be disappointed.
