The Cyclone Dust Extraction Nut’s design minimizes dust during CNC operations, enhancing finish quality, tool performance, and the operator’s work environment. The Cyclone creates an upward draft, directing dust particles into the collection system and away from the tool and material. For best results, use a tool with the shortest possible cut length to keep the shroud close to the table, improving vacuum efficiency.
Performance relies on a synergy between the cutting application (material, tool, and cut type) and the efficiency and setup of your dust collection unit. When set up correctly, it can remove up to 97% of dust from the cut.
The Cyclone Dust Extraction Nut fits any tool holder that accepts ER32, ER40, or RDO35 (SYOZ25) standard collets. It comes in two sizes—100mm and 80mm in diameter—to accommodate different tool carriages. Installing the Cyclone takes only minutes. Simply remove the collet nut and collet from the tool holder, insert the collet into the Cyclone nut (ensuring it’s locked in place), and secure it on the tool holder. It works best with tool diameters of 3/8″ and 1/2″. Made from lightweight alloy, the Cyclone is balanced to G2.5 and rated for speeds up to 20,000 RPM.
