3 Piece Combination Cutter

Today’s featured tool is a custom 3-piece polycrystalline diamond jointing/grooving combination cutter.

The advantage of a 3 piece interchangeable cutter lies in the fact that it allows repositioning of the center grooving blade. As opposed to this tool being designed as a single piece cutter (which this tool replaced), the 3-piece cutter eliminates costly repairs in the event of damage during operation, and provides flexibility for dimensional changes without having to replace the entire tool.
